Sorry for lack of posts in the past few days. I had to give back the computer I was borrowing.
But....
Have ordered a new computer and it should be arriving some time this week. Yes! Finally my new baby is coming... At which point I shall be able to get back to properly posting again.

The year is coming to an end, and I'd like to start the 2005 Thank You process with a tribute to the supporters of the J league. For those of you who don't normally get to see Japanese club supporters in action, here is a great collection of all 18 J1 club supporters doing their various chants and songs. Some footage was taken at away games, so you don't get the full impact of the home game crowds, but it's still a lot of fun to see and hear.
The order is in the order of the final J1 rankings result this year, from bottom of the table to top (Vissel Kobe up to champions Gamba Osaka last).

The festivities start off with several players breaking the tops of big jugs of sake (rice wine), and that is the go-signal for everyone to start spraying each other with alcohol (namely beer). This is not a tradition unique to football, but you also see teams celebrating like this in baseball and other sports as well. The players then had to shower and hit various tv network interviews which stretched into the wee hours, so their night was still not over!

Nakamura assisted in Celtic's 3-0 win over Rangers -- a little dribbling, finding a opening, and sending in a perfectly timed cross for Balde's header goal. Nakamura played a part in setting up the first and third goals as well. Good to hear he contributed by scrambling on the defense, as the game was quite 50/50 for most of the match despite the final score.

Sota Hirayama scored a goal for his Dutch club Heracles in their 3-0 game against RBC. The 20-year old entered the game in the 71st minute, and at 87 mins scored a left-footed goal against 2 defenders that was pretty sweet. This is his third goal of the season.
