Reds Alpay Going Out

Urawa Reds announced yesterday that they will be letting go of Turkish defender Ozalan Alpay. Alpay was part of the World Cup Turkey squad (finished 3rd), and came to Japan from the Korea league last July.

Though his presence in the J-league does add a certain spice (yeah, a TNT kind of spice) it's become very clear that his personality and style are just not meshing with the Japanese environment. His annual fee was 50 million yen.
