The Japanese national team sponsor Adidas has unveiled the new uniform design (home). This is the uniform Japan will wear through the World Cup next year. >>Click to see the three versions, including goalkeeper's uni The design has a lighter look than the old one, especially with the light blue and white lines swishing along the sides. The old uniform had the dark blue vertical stripes that gave the uniform an overall heavier look. The swishing lines near the arm pit is taken from the idea of a Japanese sword. The uniform continues to acknowledge the "hinomaru" red of the Japanese rising sun, by leaving a touch of red along the collar and cuffs. Koji Nakata, who was the model for the presentation said that he was suprised at how light and comfortable it is to wear. Adidas has used their technology (ForMotion and ClimaFlow Mapping) to improve the movability and heat control. What do you think? Do you like it? Or will take a while to get used to? The new uniforms will be worn by the team in the next game against Angola in November. | ||
